No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimates

Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for care may have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their health care services.

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you are uninsured or are choosing to pay for services yourself without using insurance, you generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate when you schedule services at least three business days in advance or when you request an estimate.

A Good Faith Estimate provides information about the expected charges for scheduled services. It is not a bill and does not require you to receive services from Guided Growth Collective.

A Good Faith Estimate is based on information reasonably known at the time the estimate is prepared. Actual services or costs may differ if circumstances change or if additional services that could not reasonably have been anticipated become necessary.

If you receive a bill from a provider that is at least $400 more than that provider's Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

For additional information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, Good Faith Estimates, or the patient-provider dispute resolution process, please visit the official Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Medical Bill Rights resources.

You may also contact the No Surprises Help Desk at 1-800-985-3059.
